hi all!
another post ever since long time ago!
hahas.
especially those who come here often but see the same post always.
yeah well.
time for main band practice tomorrow has been changed.
originally, it is supposed to be from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
now, it has been changed from 10.30am to 6pm.
please take note main band members.
also, before 10.30 tomorrow, the band room will not be opened due to the placement test.
please note that both junior band and main band will have to know the following scales by the first day of band camp.
junior band: 8 major scales (you should know) and any 2 minor scales, both harmonic and melodic
main band: 12 major scales and 6 minor scales, both harmonic and melodic (ask your SL if you dont know which 6 minor scales to learn)
please go and learn all the scales.
for both junior band and main band, all of you are required to be able to play the major scales in the scale patterns.
minor scales include arpeggios.
by the way, i havent been seeing a lot of people going back to the band room everyday.
it is always the same few people i see.
band room will be opened at 8am everyday excluding saturday and sundays unless stated otherwise.
also, usually it will not close that early unless for special reasons.
so, i dont see why so many of you are not coming back to practise.
i know it is the holidays but the holidays are not only for you to enjoy.
it is the time in which you can brush up on your playing of instrument.
and since the leaders are making an effort to come early and stay till late for all of you to practise, appreciate it.
on a lighter note, please dont forget about the band chalet.

11th dec to 13th dec.
prices are not confirmed.
but tentatively:
BBQ only - $7
2D1N + BBQ - $12
3D2N + BBQ - $16
go for it!
enjoy yourselves there and bond with the band!

there will be a camp in nov.
please empty your vacations and not put em on the 3rd wk of nov from 14th to 16th.
basically.. details will be released later. we'll be playin new pieces :D
but it'll be fun as long as we do things as a band right.
so dun worry too much.. :D
