Hi everyone.
SYF is drawing closer n closer. Starting to feel excited? Please do..n pls bear in mind the ‘self-prac every day’ policy. Don’t practise for d sake of doing so cuz mr tan said so. Practise cuz you wan to. Practise hard n practise smart.
Pls also take note of everything that ALL our conductors have said. We tend to forget things easily and need reminding very very often.so don’t waste time ok? And do remember what mr tan or any of the conductors say and play it properly regardless of who is conducting.
Here are a list of the activities coming up.
AMKSS Concert on 4th march at SCH at 7.30. Tix are at $12. it will be gd if u guys can go and hear the acoustics of SCH again.
Temasek Poly Concert on 30th march at TP audi. Tix at $6.
And of cuz EUNICE’S CONCERT in which she will be playing percussion :)
10th March is the exchange with St Pats and St Andrews.
The thai band tt mr tan talking about will also most prob b coming dwn during march hols.
So are we busy or are we busy?? Hang in there. We can do it!!!
P.S:mr desouza said tt d woodwinds are improving!!keep it up!

Hey guys! Oops been busy so I hardly get to publish a post here. My apologies.
Anyway, here I am and I'm here to express how I feel towards the band's progress lately so here I go. After we introduced the DAILY-PRACTICE policy, the band sounds better. Don't you agree? It's really great to see you guys coming back quite frequently and of course witnessing your each gradual improvement. Now is the peak period and we ought to buck up more.
THIS IS A FACT!!! Mr Tan: We are on the way to gold. Not yet there but almost. The band produces a sound that is gold medal. It is possible that we will get a gold for Ivanhoe but not for Sunrise at the moment. Well, see? We can really make it but what's holding us back is our inconsistency. Now we need to shape music, not fix notes. No one can back us up except ourselves. Brace up, ladies and gentlemen. Our standard is now between silver and gold, but we all want that firm gold!
Fight for it people! Only by putting in effort then can we get results that we desire.

hiya
Had our rehearsal at SCH a few days ago. Hmm..according to our supportive seniors who were there they said we sound ok.mr desouza said we sounded better than usual. U guys heard for urselves how nice we can sound.so its time 2 work on small details n accuracy now. Intonation, tonguing, articulation, feelings, dynamics MUST come in. enough of staring at d black notes on d score. Express urselfs, feel the music.
We r getting closer 2 d gold we r aiming for. Pay attention during band.write down all d things tt mr tan asked us to do n practise it during sectionals.
WE CAN, WILL AND SHALL GET THE GOLD!!!
Work hard n happy cny!
